Q: Please describe a typical portrait session.
A typical session lasts from one to two hours. You choose a location (or we choose one together) and we meet up and begin. Prior to the shoot we will have a phone consultation in which we discuss clothing options and other particulars. The sessions are really fun and low key. I often hear from clients that I made the process painless and enjoyable, and created an atmosphere of relaxation for folks who usually tense up being photographed.
Norfolk is blessed with so many fabulous locations to shoot, and many of them are minutes apart so you can get a lot of atmosphere for your shoot.
Q: Do you travel for portrait sessions?
I do, but if the location is more than twenty miles from Norfolk travel fees will be assessed.
Q: I would like to change outfits, is this possible?
Yes, though you may be changing in your car depending on where we choose to shoot: ) If we shoot near my home studio you can certainly change here. If you are interested in several clothing changes I do offer an enhanced session that is three hours. Inquire with me to get information regarding this portrait session.
Q: Do we receive the digital files?
Yes, absolutely. For a typical session you will receive at least 200 image files, often many more. They will all be cleaned up and beautifully processed. The files are unmarked and ready for you to print or use any way you like.
I must stress that since I have done this for a very long time and am highly skilled at portraiture I will deliver a lot of files and they will all be beautiful and well composed. I don't narrow down my sessions to a handful of shots.
Q: Do you offer prints and albums?
I do offer super high quality yet reasonably priced prints and books. At booking I'll send you a sheet with all the products listed. Remember that you will also receive the files to print as you like as well.
Q: Can I share the images online with family and friends?
Yes! You will receive a beautiful online gallery to share with loved ones.
Q: After the session, how long until we see the photographs?
About one to two weeks.
Q: How Do I book a session?
I would love to work with you and encourage you to contact me through the website or give me a call (757-277-6420) and we will work together to schedule a time. I prefer to work either very, very early or about two hours or so before sunset. This timing affords the best light for your session.
I look forward to hearing from you!
